Les conditions y sont presque partout indignes, inhumaines et nocives, comme le dénoncent quelque 450 spécialistes (médecins, psychothérapeutes et psychologues). Dans une lettre ouverte adressée aux autorités et au monde politique ainsi qu'aux offices et aux organisations d'exécution, ils demandent un traitement humain des requérant-e-s d'asile ayant reçu une décision négative. Cette revendication est soutenue par trois organisations suisses à but non lucratif qui s'engagent pour la dignité et le bien-être des personnes ayant fui leur pays, ainsi que contre le racisme et la discrimination."

Nous assistons à une menace massive pour le bien-être des personnes et l'existence même de notre planète, peut-on lire dans un appel aux décideurs politiques : "J'ai vu de nombreux rapports scientifiques depuis que je suis secrétaire général de l'ONU, mais aucun comme celui-ci", a déclaré António Guterres. De plus en plus de personnes sont menacées par de graves inondations et l'augmentation des températures et des précipitations renforce la propagation des maladies chez les hommes et les animaux. D'autre part, le manque d'eau et la diminution de la qualité des sols entraînent une baisse de la production alimentaire. Un monde durable et résistant au climat exige des changements fondamentaux dans le fonctionnement de nos sociétés, selon le rapport.

Un tel instrument doit renforcer la résistance aux futures pandémies, garantir un plus grand engagement politique de la part des responsables gouvernementaux du monde et améliorer la confiance dans le système de santé international et dans l'OMS. L'un des aspects les plus importants de l'accord sur les pandémies sera l'élaboration de règles équitables pour l'échange transfrontalier sur les agents pathogènes à potentiel pandémique, qui ne mettent pas en péril les accords internationaux déjà existants, tels que le Protocole de Nagoya ou le Cadre PIP, et leur principal acquis, le partage des avantages, et qui comblent les lacunes existantes, le cas échéant. L'engagement en faveur de l'équité en matière de santé pour tous sera un outil contractuel important.

Apprendre aux gens comment obtenir du plaisir sexuel peut aider à faire passer des messages sur les rapports sexuels sans risque, affirment des chercheurs de l'Organisation mondiale de la santé (OMS). Selon les résultats de leur étude, les programmes qui adoptent cette approche améliorent davantage l'utilisation des préservatifs que ceux qui se concentrent uniquement sur les dangers des rapports sexuels non protégés. Anne Philpott est l'une des exepert.e.s qui a collaboré avec l'équipe de l'OMS. Elle a fondé le Pleasure Project en 2004, frustrée par "les interminables sessions sur le sida où personne ne parlait des motivations des gens à avoir des relations sexuelles".
